Utility Stairs – ‘K Stairs’ means a staircase that is compliant with part ‘K’ of the Building Regulations act. This means it is acceptable to various conditions such as maximum incline and step and going limits.

Part M Stairs – Similar to K Stairs, an M stair refers to a separate area of the Building Regulations act and is designed with disability access in mind whilst maintaining the aspects of a K stair.
